Originally established as Advances in Sustainable Enterprise Research (ASER), the initiative has grown through years of academic collaboration, knowledge exchange, and institutional partnership across regions. What began as a conference rooted in business and enterprise research has progressively expanded in scope, reflecting the increasing complexity of sustainability challenges and the need for more inclusive, interdisciplinary approaches.

In response to this evolving context, ASER now transitions into a broader platform with a renewed direction and expanded meaning:

This transformation reflects a deliberate shift from a primarily enterprise-centered perspective toward a more integrative framework that embraces sustainability, equity, and resilience as interconnected pillars of future development.

The repositioned ASER is envisioned as a collaborative platform that connects academia, industry, government, community, and creative sectors in addressing real-world challenges through research, dialogue, and action. It supports transdisciplinary engagement and encourages knowledge co-creation across diverse contexts and regions.

As part of this evolution, the ASER Forum is established as the core institutional platform that will carry forward ASER's mission beyond the annual conference.
